ArtWorks, Tender Mercies, an organization that provides housing and support for homeless adults combatting mental illness, and members of the community gathered on Saturday, October 19 to dedicate “Jerry’s Message.” Designed by Brady Corcoran, the mural honors the life and career of Jerry Springer, who passed away in spring 2023. The mural presents viewers with a vertical image of Springer’s kind smile, accompanied by his sign-off message made famous by his tenure as WLWT’s local-news anchorman: “Take care of yourself and each other.”

This mural was completed by six Youth Apprentices under the guidance of Lead Teaching Artist Jaylin Stewart and Teaching Artist Emily Mallot. The mural will continue to engage inspire at 27 W. 12th St in Over-the-Rhine.
