Founded in 1899, the Cincinnati Open has grown into an ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 tournament that attracted more than 200,000 worldwide fans to Greater Cincinnati. Held annually at Mason, OH’s Lindner Family Tennis Center, the Cincinnati Open has raised more than $12 million over the past 50 years for such nonprofits as the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, UC Health Cancer, and Tennis for City Youth.
ArtWorks and Cincinnati Open representatives collaborated to develop the mural, which is known as “Spectator’s Advantage.” Located at 838 Reedy St. at the eastern edge of Downtown Cincinnati, Allison Seiffer designed the mural, and 16 Youth Apprentices completed the project’s vision under the guidance of Lead Teaching Artist Sophie Shiff and Teaching Artists Tevin Brown and Dani Pflum.
