ArtWorks is proud to offer a Black Art Walk in partnership with The Voice of Black Cincinnati!
You’ll begin your journey at blaCk Coffee Lounge with a flavorful beverage before joining an ArtWorks Mural Tour Docent and Apprentice for an immersive exploration of public art celebrating Cincinnati’s African American history.
This tour showcases murals of iconic figures like blues pioneer Mamie Smith, heavyweight champion Ezzard Charles, and the legendary performer James Brown. You’ll also encounter powerful works by Black Art Speaks Cincinnati Artist Collective and Gee Horton. This tour offers a captivating blend of history and contemporary artistry, celebrating the profound impact of Black artists on Cincinnati’s cultural landscape.
