In partnership with the Boston Beer Corporation (Samuel Adams), ArtWorks is expanding the iconic “Cheers to Cincy, Past and Present” mural at 1625 Central Parkway. Tom Post, designer of the original mural, has been tapped to design the continuation to ensure imagery and style cohesion. The mural celebrates Cincinnati’s brewing heritage and history, its legacy and influence in the larger industry, and its community of skilled brewers. A sense of optimism, industriousness, and revolutionary spirit will be evoked.
“Cheers to Cincy, Past and Present!” raises a glass to Cincinnati’s contemporary beer culture, created in partnership with Samuel Adams Cincinnati Brewery. Figures of King Gambrinus, European folk hero and beer aficionado, and Cincinnati’s own Genius of Water, toast the City’s beer making tradition which is prominently featured in the center of the mural that graces the Samuel Adams Cincinnati Brewery wall. Ensconced within a horizontal beer bottle shape is an interior scene filled with wooden and copper beer barrels that transition into a street scene of the neighborhood and nearby, friendly vendors, and leading to historical Findlay Market. Nick Scrimenti, Elise Thompson, and Holden Pierson led Youth Apprentices, Brianna Barrow, Matthew Carson, Caleb Francis, Lavel Matthews, De’Juan Phoenix
Clover Queen, Amari Seymoure, Jenna Webster, Daija Williams and Paul Young in the execution of Post’s design.
