ArtWorks V² Gallery is looking forward to a bright year ahead. The gallery which supports professional and emerging youth artists, has moved to a larger and more prominent location at Cincinnati Scholar House, a program of HER Cincinnati at 929 E. McMillan Street. On Friday, March 25, the gallery’s first show of the year, Carving Out Your Own Path, will be open to the public in a street-level storefront within the campus.
“Having the ArtWorks gallery on our campus is enriching not only for our residents but the entire community,” said Beth Schwartz, president and CEO of HER Cincinnati. “The arts are essential.”
Carving Out Your Own Path will display wood-carved relief art designed and painted by youth artists and arts educator, John Lanzador. Over the course of six weeks, Lanzador mentored the youth artists on his techniques signature to his own personal art form; carving and painting woodwork with symbols of personal meaning. The artists worked out of ArtWorks’ studio at the Carl Solway Gallery in the West End to prepare for their group show. All are welcome to attend the March 25th opening reception from 4:00pm-7:00pm. - As We Bloom, part of FotoFocus, with artist-in-residence Asa Featherstone, IV – October 17 to December 17
Live music by the Cincinnati Music Accelerator will be featured at each community opening. Artist talks and artist-led community events will also occur.

ArtWorks V² Gallery is made possible through the generosity of HER Cincinnati and V², also known as Vandell Verdona, a collaboration between longtime ArtWorks supporters Sara and Michelle Vance Waddell and Ron Houck and David Nebel.
Young people interested in the arts are invited to apply on the organization’s website for future exhibitions. ArtWorks is also hiring youth apprentices and teaching staff for its public art program.
