A collaboration between ArtWorks and local architecture firm SHP, the first Cincinnati mural designed by American artist MOMO now graces the Sycamore Place Lofts building at the corners of E 7th and Sycamore. MOMO has been commissioned to embellish such iconic global spaces as New York’s World Trade Center and France’s Musée des Beaux Arts. This new soaring artwork expertly showcases his unique style with swaths of color and abstract forms rising an impressive 90 feet.
“This unique composition for Cincinnati is intended to reach people like visual music without lyrics,” said MOMO. “There’s nothing representational, just the sensual qualities of color, harmony, and rhythm. I’m excited to have ArtWorks bring this design to life for this gorgeous city.”
Led by Teaching Artists Adrienne Dixon and Thomas Osorio, twelve ArtWorks Apprentices executed MOMO’s expressive, geometric design that envelops the building. The project was proudly sponsored by SHP to recognize and honor the leaders that built the firm’s Cincinnati office.
