Ludlow Art Carpets

ArtWorks, in partnership with the Ludlow Revitalization Committee, a joint committee of Clifton Town Meeting and Clifton Business and Professional Association, is excited to bring an innovative public art project to Ludlow Avenue: Art Carpets, a series of permanent public art installations along the Ludlow Avenue business district in Clifton.

Ludlow Art Carpets will be unique works of art, created in bronze and embedded into the sidewalk along Ludlow Avenue. Art Carpets are planned for five locations along Ludlow Avenue between Clifton and Middleton Avenues. These locations include the Esquire Theater, Keller's IGA, Graeter's, the Public Library and the Ludlow Garage.

The installations will celebrate, enliven and reveal the character and experience of Ludlow Avenue. It is the eclectic nature, rich history and evolving identity of Clifton that this public art project hopes to capture and share with residents and visitors alike.

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED

Join us for a community engagement session!. ArtWorks is hosting 3 sessions at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center. These sessions provide an opportunity to meet the artist, share your stories and memorabilia about Ludlow Avenue and each of the five locations planned to receive the works of art.

Session 1: Friday, May 7th 6-8 p.m.
Session 2: Saturday, May 8th 10-12 a.m.
Session 3: Saturday, May 8th 2-4 p.m.
